John's nasal saga.

Okay... so the man had to have surgery after all. This is him when he woke up from anesthesia and the second shot is of him after the nurse told him she would put a "dressing" on it, so he wouldn't drip blood while getting to the car. Of course, I had to get a picture cause I knew that wouldn't stay on long. Sure enough, as soon as his butt hit the car seat and the nurse walked away, he said, "This stupid thing is coming off!" I was rolling.

John goes to the Pentagon for his weekend drill this weekend. He is very excited to be wearing his "cast" on his nose for that trip! Oh yeah, he will finally get to wear his Captain stripes in March. Whoever thought he would make it to O6? I am proud!!

For anybody who reads this who is interested, Dani's graduation is set for June 10th at 11 AM. Whoo hoo, we are getting close.

Another Day

  • Here are the recent pics I took of John. He is keeping ice on his nose and sleeping a little more (the pain med and congestion seem to do him in a little. ) Of course, he hears and sees the flash go off, and you can see his reaction the last time. I LOVE IT!!

  • These are some senior pics I took of Dani. I am going to order them tonight or tomorrow. Finally, she is excited about some of her pics.

Never boring around here

One basketball game.
One 43 yr old man.
One 23 yr old elbow.....
One very broken, busted nose.
Six stitches.

My man will never grow up.
This happened at 11 PM at night last night.
Life is fun!

LIttle bit of nothing

Not much happening here except for work, work, work. Dani is working at a church daycare from 4-6 PM after school everyday. CJ is playing indoor soccer and intermural basketball at school. Alex is coming home and running everyday after school. John is playing volleyball and pickup basketball once a week. I have been scrapbooking a couple times a month at Ashley's house. I took this pic of Alex the other day and am having it blown up for my wall. It is just different.

Day in the life of our crazy family.

Okay, after waking up to mushy snow on the ground, I picked up Alex and met Dani at the YMCA to watch Kendall take swim lessons (see Paper Chik blog for photos taken there.) She was the cutest and smallest one there. We then ran home for Alex to eat (Dani went to a swim meet to watch some friends.) John and CJ got a hair cut, then John dropped CJ off at the indoor arena to watch a "friend" play soccer, before he went to the Y to work out. I quickly made the swim video while Alex ate, then we drove to CJ's game to watch him play. Ashley brought us the baby while she left for 30 min. to rake in a huge job scrapbooking. A budding actor friend of ours came over and I took some head shots of him for his auditions. Then, I took pictures of Alex for fun and for a school project she is working on. John and CJ played in the snow, before John sat down to some much needed work on his computer for work. Dani's friend Krista came over and they were extremely loud working on a school project which involved doing something creative while presenting a couple famous poems. Well, of course these choir girls decided to add the lyrics to popular songs and sing them. We got to listen to the music to "Do you believe in love?" with different words sang to them VERY LOUDLY. I can only wait until this afternoon when they bring in the boys to do the dancing on their video while they sing the song. Very interesting around here. Alex had 3 friends meet her here early so I could take them to a party at 8 PM, meanwhile Dani had about 8 more friends come over to hang out and watch videos. Of course, John was outside when Ryan and Shane arrived and those boys came in my door dripping snow because John hit them with snow balls when they got out of the car. Yes, they did fire back. Boys never grow up! These kids left at midnight and we picked Alex up at midnight, so our night was over. Can't wait to see what today brings. ha
