Dani met us in Lexington to watch Alex's team run at State today. The girls team came in 6th in the state and Alex had her best time this year. She broke 21 minutes. 20.59...... hey, that is still breaking 21.She did great and now says she
hurts all over. She is 74th in the State! Funny thing is, I hurt all over too!!
so i wish i didnt look like such a dead beat in all my running pictures. ha, but im still glad to have them and ALLLL the other pics we have from our amazing team photographer! i love you!

Great Job Alex!!! What a great accomplishment!! I got winded sitting in my chair reading about it! ( I was always terrible at running, I tried track my freshman year and when I crossed the finish line and was blowing a bubble with my gum, I think the coach decided I was not running material..):)

ReplyDeleteI am very proud of her and even more happy for her. This was definitely one of the runs where she could have no regrets. She usually will finish and later, say, "I should have passed this or that person." Well, this time, she had none of those thoughts because she gave it EVERY single thing she had!! What a good feeling for her!!!
