Speaking of Old Pictures

A while back Uncle Lawrence gave me this to give to Mom. I told her about it, but you see that she doesn't have it in her hands. Isn't he handsome?

And how old is he here Mom?

Not handsome. He is cute. He is a baby.

  2. Yeah, a baby who is trying so hard to be tough. Guys are still doing that today ... smile for the camera, are you crazy?

  4. Really, you think he was that young? I thought maybe middle school or early high. I thought he looked at least CJ's age. Maybe it is the somber expression.

  5. Isn't it amazing how many relatives you can see in his face? Different features remind me of different family members. What is really amazing is when you start comparing the similarities in the double cousins...but then again it shouldn't because they share the same genes just like siblings would. I love to tell people about the characteristics and traits the two sets of siblings share and were raised so far apart...well I love explaining it once the person understands there was no funny business involved!

I know what you mean about the funny business. People are so confused, but it really just seems so easy to me. Which similarities are you referring to Jess? The good-lookingness that we all share, the wit and sarcasism, or just the plain ol' genius that we have in common?

  8. Oh it is all so true! In particular I was thinking about the paralleled characteristics with the children about the same age. Nancy/Mom, Bruce/Bruce (the name part alone is hilarious), Joe/Neal, Kristy/Lesley and even though I am the next generation, Ashley and I have been known to finish each other's sentences. It is just crazy! Sometimes I think that those age-pairs are more alike than many siblings.

  10. oops!...I would delete the second one, but then there would be this big ol' THIS POST HAS BEEN DELETED BY THE AUTHOR. And then people would be calling you asking what comment showed up on your blog that you had to delete! It is a pain, so instead, I will just leave the double entry and just look like a computer illiterate goof. Love you!
